Welcome to the Third Coast, also known as Harbor Country! We’re so glad that out of the many options available, you chose to stay with us.

One of the most common questions we get is about recommendations for dining and activities. There is no shortage of great options.

Starting in our backyard, Greenbush Brewing is in downtown Sawyer and you can find a fabulous selection of creative craft beers and outstanding BBQ. Just behind Greenbush is Sawyer Home & Garden Center, where you can find grocery staples including a great selection of local produce as well as clothing, and souvenirs. Down the block in downtown Sawyer is Infusco, a charming local coffee shop where you can actually get your coffee in a legit non-disposable coffee cup.

Next, we’ll skip to downtown New Buffalo. If you like Mexican food at all, as stop by Rios is a must-do. It may not look like much, but chances are you’ll be back. Their amazing quesadillas are a top recommendation. On “the strip” you’ll find Casey’s which has a beautiful patio, which is open seasonally. If you save any room for a frozen treat, Nancy’s has great sno-cones plus ice cream, shakes, etc. Twisted is another great choice closeby. You can choose 1-2 yogurt flavors plus a very generous selection of toppings, of which you can select up to FIVE on your treat.

If you like a good bakery, make time to try both Swedish Bakery and Froelich’s.

Haymarket Taproom in downtown Bridgman offers great brews, artisan pizza and a relaxing dog-friendly patio.

If you venture as far North as South Haven, definitely stop for a bite at Clementine’s.

Throughout the area, you will find many choices of wineries, breweries and distilleries. It’s hard to go wrong. There are also a number of choices our tour companies that will drive your group around and even pick you up right at the house. If you go on your, be sure to take in the spectacular landscape.

Or you may choose to tour by bike. Many cycling teams tour the area. Options for hiking abound as do winter sports depending on the time of year that you visit. Warren Dunes is a must-do any time of year.

Warren Dunes offers a beautiful beach with concessions and restrooms. Also try Weko Beach, Cherry Beach, or Townline Beach in Union Pier. Or if you venture a bit further north, Silver Beach in St. Joe is an award-winning attraction to visit. And of course New Buffalo Beach puts you right in the middle of the action, with a plethora of shops, restaurants and attractions an easy walk away.

And depending on the season, U-pick is an activity you’ll want to make time for.

Of course, when the weather’s not great, don’t fret because of course you have the luxury of an indoor pool and hot tub. We also have fabulous star gazing, so pull up a chair by the fire pit and enjoy an evening under the stars.

We have ping pong, a massage chair, a fireplace and a selection of board games, so when you choose to stay in, there are plenty of choices the unplug, unwind and hang out.

We hope you’ll enjoy the area and the home as much as we do. Now go make some memories! And don’t hesitate to reach out if we can assist in any way.
